Supporting Our Future Leaders, One Sail at a Time

Gotta Love Logan is proud to support the Windeward Bound Youth Development Sail Fundraiser

At Gotta Love Logan, we’re all about celebrating what’s great in our community—and that includes backing the next generation of leaders. We were proud to stand in support of Rotary Browns Plains’ fundraising dinner to help send two local Logan teens on the adventure of a lifetime aboard the Windeward Bound Tall Ship.

The event brought the community together for an evening filled with connection, culture, and plenty of laughs. Guests enjoyed a mouth-watering eight-course Chinese banquet, a lively raffle, and an entertaining wine auction featuring Rotary Wines from Moffatdale. One of the night’s funniest moments? The auctioning off of Councilor Tim Frazer’s beanie, which raised $50 and smiles all around!

All funds raised on the night are helping two local young people, aged 14 to 17, take part in the Youth Development Sail Program—a journey that teaches teamwork, leadership, resilience, and confidence through life on the sea. It’s a powerful program that opens hearts and minds, and we’re thrilled to see young people from Logan setting sail.

We were especially proud to see so many community leaders show their support, including District Governor Sue Mulraney, MP James Martin, several past and present Rotary leaders, and our local councilors.

This is the kind of event that reminds us why we love Logan—because when there’s a need, our community shows up. We back our youth. We share a meal. We laugh together. And we create real change by working side by side.

To our friends at Rotary Browns Plains, thank you for the incredible work you do. And to the two young people heading off on this once-in-a-lifetime journey—we’ll be cheering you on all the way.

Because here in Logan, we believe in our people. We believe in our future. And we believe there’s always something to celebrate.
