Mayor Jon Raven and Kathy de Leon attending the Logan Small Business Conference and Showcase

This morning, I had the pleasure of attending the Logan Women in Business Breakfast, followed by the Small Business Conference and Showcase. These events were brimming with energy and innovative ideas, reflecting the vibrant business community we have here in Logan. They were also an excellent opportunity to explore how businesses can embrace and demonstrate social responsibility—a cause close to my heart.

At Gotta Love Logan, we are committed to helping businesses in our community realize their social responsibility goals. Our mission is to foster a stronger, more connected Logan by supporting businesses that seek to make a positive impact. We are thrilled to announce that Gotta Love Logan is on the verge of becoming a Social Enterprise, with 50% of our profits directed back into community initiatives.

Here’s how Gotta Love Logan can support businesses in showcasing their commitment to social responsibility:

  1. Partnership and Membership: By partnering with Gotta Love Logan, businesses can visibly demonstrate their commitment to social responsibility. As a member, companies will have the opportunity to display our distinctive signage or stickers, proudly indicating that they are socially responsible and actively contributing to the community.
  2. Transparency and Impact: Our model ensures that businesses and their customers can see exactly where their support is going. With 50% of our profits reinvested into community projects, businesses can confidently show their customers, potential employees, and investors that their money is making a tangible difference in Logan.
  3. Community Focus: Gotta Love Logan’s approach is designed to help businesses connect with the community in a meaningful way. Through our membership, businesses will not only contribute financially but also gain insight into the specific projects and individuals benefiting from their support. This transparency fosters trust and strengthens the bond between businesses and the community.

During the Small Business Conference, I had the pleasure of meeting Aki, the President of the Beenleigh Yatala Chamber of Commerce. Aki expressed great interest in our model, recognizing the value it brings to both businesses and the community. Our partnership approach aligns well with the goals of many local businesses seeking to enhance their social responsibility efforts.

By investing in Gotta Love Logan, businesses are not just making a financial contribution; they are joining a movement that values community support and transparency. It’s an opportunity to stand out as a leader in social responsibility while making a genuine difference in the lives of those around us.

As we continue to grow and evolve, we invite local businesses to join us in this exciting journey. Together, we can make Logan an even better place to live, work, and thrive.

Stay tuned for more updates and opportunities to get involved. And as always, let’s continue to celebrate and support the incredible spirit of Logan!
