Established in 1984, Radio Logan Incorporated (101FM) was created to provide Logan with local news, entertainment, and community updates. The initiative, driven by Logan City Council and Cr. Tom O’Neil, aimed to give Logan its own voice after achieving city status.
Following two years of test transmissions, 101FM was granted its permanent broadcasting license in 1988, with the first broadcast from Karrawatha Street, Springwood—Logan’s highest point. In 1993, the station relocated to its current home at 8 Railway Parade, Logan Central.
The station’s call sign, 4CBL, reflects its primary service areas: Logan, Beenleigh, and Beaudesert. Today, 101FM’s signal reaches far and wide, covering from Moreton Bay to Toowoomba and beyond.
